New stuff for the default Tumblr theme:

  • Four different layouts: Regular, Minimal, Wide, and Grid.
  • Highly readable reblogs: Same as in the dashboard. Goodbye, blockquotes.
  • Unique widgets: Say more about yourself by sharing your likes and top photos.
  • Design tweaks: Little details that make the whole thing better.

As always, your header image, fonts, and colors will automatically match up across the default theme, the dashboard, and the app. How you look is how you look, everywhere.

One more thing: We changed the name of the default theme from “Optica” to “Official,” which makes much more sense. If you’re already using Official, you’ll be automatically updated (as long as you haven’t tweaked the theme code). If you’re not using it…

Jump over to tumblr.com/themes 👉 and hit that install button.

Speak out now>>

Health care is a right for all of us. There are still ways you can take action to stop the passing of the AHCA:

1. Call your Senator.

Look up your Senator in this directory and give them a call expressing why you don’t support the bill. If you need it, you can borrow this simple script written by our friends at Bustle (@bustle):

Hello, my name is _______. I am a constituent of Sen. _________, and I am calling to ask them to vote against repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act with the American Health Care Act. I want to relay a clear message to them that it’s critical that the provisions and benefits of the Affordable Care Act remain in place. Since its passage, 20 million Americans have gained health care coverage, and our country is enjoying a record low uninsured rate.

2. Send them a message.

If you don’t feel comfortable calling your Senators, you can fill out the message form above created by Planned Parenthood (@plannedparenthood) and they’ll handle passing it along.

If you or anyone you know has ever needed to navigate the health care system in this country, you know how difficult and scary it can be. The AHCA would make matters catastrophically worse for millions of Americans, for people you know and love. Take care of each other, Tumblr.

❤️

Incredibly sad and angry about what just happened in Manchester last night.

I can’t even begin to imagine the fear, devastation and heartache that many parents and families are going through right now.

It’s lifting to see the Manchester community coming together but I wish it didn’t have to be from a tragedy like this. I pray for the patience and strength for everyone affected.

If you or someone you know were affected by the attack in Manchester, please know there are resources out there offering their support.

Victim Support has experience in supporting survivors of terrorist attacks. You can call them at 0808 168 9111, or request online support

For additional services, the NHS has a longer list of helplines based in the UK
